How I evaluate others?

I evaluate my peers in many aspects. Although I am not an expert, I think I could share my opinion about their presentation. But first and foremost, I think the evaluation form that has been provided is not suitable because we have to put our name on it. It is better if the ‘teacher’ does not know who is giving the comments.
Second, I would consider for the evaluation is the set induction. I think the best way to attract students’ attention is by giving an interesting pre-presentation. In fact, students always think that literature is a boring subject. Therefore, teacher should prepare as attractive as he/she can to motivate them. Third; the activity in the pre and while reading stage. It should be appropriate for secondary school level. It is very important to set questions that suit them. The activities could not be too difficult nor to easy.
Forth, I will look at their presentation performance. Some teachers were not having an eye contact with their students. And some were like mumbling to themselves and even talking to the white board. Their gestures were also distracting if they can not stay still or always walking back and forth. Besides, the voice projection is also counted. There were teachers who using a monotonous tone and some could not help with their accent and hesitation. Teacher should also beware of their used of language. Some grammatical mistake is acceptable to me. But if it is been repeated for so many times, the teacher should work on it.
I also take into consideration if the teacher would summarize all the activities to the students. Sometimes, students can not relate it themselves. Teacher should assist them in order to get a successful learning session.

I got a question for you. Are you my sister? How come I have the 100% same thinking as you? Yes! Set induction is really important for a teaching lesson. And the sound projection is also important. Students wont pay attention to you if you are talking in front there with a low voice. They cant hear what you say and they will start to do other things instead of listening to your teaching. Tasks also important in a teaching. We as teacher should design a task that is suitable for our students' level proficiency. If a task is too hard for them, they will not attempt the task and here comes the problem of students do not do their homework. It is hard to become a teacher in this advance century. There are a lot of things that is more interesting than listening to what teacher teach in class out there. So, as a teacher, we should know our students well and design a class that can really attract their attention.

dear cha'ah,,

it is true on what u say about to write down our name on the evaluation paper.
yes, i do think that people unable to be 100% true when evaluating their friends if they need to put their name. this is because they don't want the friend that the evaluate will has any heart-feeling towards some comments or crtics.
though we all know that the purpose of evaluation is actually to really evaluate someone, but sometimes we do think about their reactions towards our comment.
it is true, teacher's eye-contact with the students is very important and i could see some of us have overlooked about it because we know that our'mock-students' are our classmate. however in real class situation, this eye-contact shows much about a teacher, whether you are focusing to your students or you just talking to your own self.
i also look at the class management, on how the teacher handles the class. i could see some people just ignore if their 'mock-students' do not pay attention to them. they forget that they as a teacher get the authority to ask their 'students' to keep silent and listen to the learning session.
i've learned a lot when i evaluate other and i believe u did feel the same way, too. :)
